DR1

OzDES DR1 is the first OzDES data release. This release contains the redshifts of 15,000 sources that were observed during the first three years of OzDES. Details of the release and information on OzDES can be found in two OzDES papers: Yuan et al. (2015) and Childress et al. (2017).

The release consists of a single FITS file with IDs, co-ordinates, redshifts, and redshift flags. OzDES uses six redshift flags. Only objects with flags 3,4, and 6 are part of this release. The meaning of the redshifts flags are:

• 3 - redshift based typically on a single strong spectroscopic feature or multiple weak features, 95% confidence
• 4 - redshift based on multiple strong spectroscopic features matched, >99% confidence
• 6 - spectroscopically confirmed star
