Student Seminars 2022

Mt Stromlo Student Seminars 2022

The ANU Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) is pleased to present the 2022 Mount Stromlo Student Seminars (MSSS22) which will run over two days (14th–15th) in November! This student-led event is fully-catered and free (no registration fee) for all students, so come join us!

This year, our theme is “looking back in time.” You can choose to (1) give a talk around this theme, or (2) give a presentation on one of your projects. Your talk doesn't have to be on astronomy! Past talks have been about everything from planet formation, to vampires, space interferometry, and even science communication!

Event Information

MSSS22 is an annual student-led conference organised by students from the RSAA.

You do not need to give a talk to be a part of this event. If you would like to give a talk, you will need to prepare a 10 minute presentation, which will be followed by about 5 minutes of Q/A. You are encouraged to share your exciting research, something funny, or something you find relevant to the theme. Better yet, you can incorporate the theme into your science talk!

3 prizes will be awarded for (1) the best science talk, (2) the best themed talk, and (3) the best overall talk, as voted for by your fellow conference attendees.
