About Me

Hello World!

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by my digital observatory. I'm Alan, an undergrad student in Physics, Astronomy, and Astrophysics at the Research Schools of Physics, and of Astronomy & Astrophysics (RSPhys & RSAA) at The Australian National University's Mt. Stromlo Observatory.

I'm involved in a diverse range of projects, but yet I'm particularly fascinated in Observational Cosmology, especially using Type Ia Supernovae and Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN) as tools to probe Dark Energy. Alongside, I also dabbling in experimental projects with the ANU Centre for Gravitational Astrophysics (CGA) on cutting-edge space-based laser tech.

Originally from Toronto, my academic path has been quite the journey, I first earn a Diploma of Engineering from Macquarie University in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics then decided to pursuit Astronomy and Astrophysics across the country first at University of Adelaide, then University of Sydney, and University of New South Wales, leading me here to ANU. It's been a truly stellar expedition!

My free time? You'll find me at Mt. Stromlo, sharing the wonders of the universe as an outreach assistant and an astronomer. Join me on this celestial odyssey as we unravel the universe's secrets together.
