The vast astronomical data archives hold an enormous amount of potential for discovery. With new analysis tools we can search these archives for new phenomena, extend the scientific capacity of existing instruments, and recover degraded observations. In this seminar I will present results from a range projects such as: an all-sky time domain survey with NASA’s TESS space telescope; a novel approach to explore the rapid infrared time domain with JWST; and a method for analysing and removing satellite streaks from MUSE IFU data. |
