"CBE Internship Program-AITC Placement -- Final presentations"

This cross-disciplinary collaboration between the College of Business and Economics (CBE) and AITC/RSAA is focused on improving operational efficiency for instrumentation projects. As part of the CBE Internship Program, AITC has welcomed three master’s students -- Belinda, Simant, and Tyra -- since July 25, 2024. Their primary objective is to map and analyse current workflows in critical areas such as project management, opto-mechanical engineering, and the integration of lessons learned from past projects. Through close engagement with key staff members, the students have made significant progress in identifying opportunities to streamline our processes, ultimately contributing to more efficient and innovative astronomical research. Join us for a series of talks where they will present their findings, which would contribute to informing and refining our technical approaches in future projects. Presentations are as follows: Qinqi Gu (Belinda): Project Management workflow mapping: map a project from the start to the end; Simant Gupta: Engineering workflow mapping for opto-mechanics; Xinyi Xie (Tyra): lessons learned process mapping.
