"Large-scale magnetic field structure based on a magnetic vector map"

We studied large-scale magnetic field reversals of a galaxy based on a magnetic vector map of some galaxy. It is known that the magnetic field of galaxies is universal and align with a spiral arm structure. However, how these structures are formed is not fully understood. We have developed a new method to determine the magnetic vector structure of galaxies. We also performed a modal analysis of the magnetic field and stellar arms to investigate their relationship. In this talk, I will present the relationship which is we have found between the magnetic field structure and stellar disks. I would also be happy to share some memories from my stay in ANU for about a month.
