"ASC project: Estimation of stellar mass of the accreted structures based on chemical abundances from GALAH"
The lambda CDM model predicts that some part of the stellar halo were formed by minor mergers of dwarf galaxies and therefore should contain the debris of those systems. Also, galaxies with different masses have different star formation history (SFH) and therefore different chemical evolution. This project aims to find a relationship between the stellar mass of the accreted structures and chemical abundances. |
