A 1.772GHz Phase Locked Loop (PLL) Radio Frequency Synthesiser has been designed and built for sodium laser guide star adaptive optics (LGS AO) applications include Space Situational Awareness (SSA) and Satellite and Debris Tracking. The PLL has been designed to be used in combination with an electro-optic modulator (EOM) to produce the sodium D2b emission sideband from a monochromatic laser operating at the sodium D2a emission frequency.
