"Construction of a contamination-free supernova sample and testing the feasibility of a measuring method that will make it possible to constrain cosmological parameters from SNe without the need of a spectroscopic follow-up."

I will talk about the research I have done during my 5 month internship here. This includes two projects. The main project: Constructing a contamination-free sample of supernova DES16C2ayx. Here I will try different methods of normalizing the supernova spectra and find a method that will provide the best contamination-free spectra. The second project will test the feasibility of a new measuring method. This method will make it possible to constrain cosmological parameters from SNe without the need of a spectroscopic follow-up. I have tested the feasibility of the method using already available data from DES, OzDES and other telescopes.
