"Space Shark: An Awesome Astronomical Outreach Device"

Born out of the 2015 dotAstro conference, the ’Space Shark’ is a small device that can be programmed to point and track objects in the sky - the goal is to inspire children and adults alike to learn more about astronomy and engineering. For the past 3 months, our team of six engineering students from ANU have been working on a new prototype for the Space Shark to make it more reliable, more attractive, and even more educational. In this presentation, we will showcase the new Space Shark and present our work from the past few months. We invite anyone interested to come along and you might just find out why sharks have anything to do with space.
