"Searching for the 763nm oxygen bio-signature with direct imaging/spectroscopy"
| I will describe what is required to take spectra of ~100 nearby habitable Earth-like planets to see if they have the oxygen A-band bio-signature. Such a mission represents a robust and statistically significant search for exo-life. The talk will include references to proposed missions such as LUVOIR and HABEX and describe a more affordable and quicker alternative called SUPERSHARP. |
