Typical star-forming galaxies show a strong correlation between their global star formation rates and stellar masses, with starbursts identified as outliers above and quenched galaxies as outliers below. Using data from the SAMI Galaxy Survey, I will explore the spatial signatures of quenching star formation as a function of mass, morphology, and environment. We show signatures of inside-out quenching for typical galaxies and an outside-in reduction of star formation for galaxies in denser environments. This program represents one of many science topics that you should think about investigating with the upcoming public data release -- emission line fits, SFR maps, and other data products included! |
