"A Visit to the World's Largest Telescope: FAST"

The Five Hundred Metre Aperture Spherical Telescope (FAST) was officially opened in Guizhou Province, China in late September 2016. Last week I had the opportunity to visit FAST. In this informal talk I will describe FAST and give a status report of where it is in its commissioning process. I will show pictures from my trip and discuss some of the science I hope to do with FAST in the coming years.
