"From Stellar Streams to Rivers and Streams: Astrophysics in the Murray-Darling Basin"

Astronomy and astrophysics provide an excellent set of skills that can be used in other fields. I will present a summary of my previous astronomy work and my current career in river management. This will include an introduction to the Murray-Darling Basin, and a discussion about the ability of science to influence government policy.
