  • Opening a filing cabinet. Only ash in this one as well.
  • Clearing the library. Note the different floor levels. There were at least 4 different levels of underfloor in the library.
  • In several cases, lead flashing has melted and run onto brickwork, producing a negative moulding of the brick brand.
  • Shoring up a "wonky" wall in the old tea room.

  • Ash piles, wetted down, ready to be packed into drums and carted off for burial.

  • Scaffolding erected for access to the heliostat tower. Nobody had been up there since before the fire.
  • Although the cement render is flaking off and all wooden doors and hatches are burned, the tower is structurally sound.
