Description: Taken from 9500 ft ASL and 3000 ft ASL during flights from Canberra to Wagga.
Tim Leach worked as part of the RAPT team since its inception in 1995, working with the Reynolds telescope, the 50 inch and the 74 inch. Christoph Leach joined the RAPT team in 1997 at the age of 13 working with his Dad until the Reynolds work concluded in November 1999. At the time the photos of Mt Stromlo in flight were taken, Christoph was 19, had gained a commercial pilot's license and was one of 12 level 2 cadets selected by Qantas for a 2004 cadetship. During his Qantas interview he was quizzed on his RAPT work and time at Mt Stromlo! The gallery includes some images of a young Christoph and the Reynolds telescope.
