Announcement

It is our pleasure to announce that the 2026 ASA Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in Canberra (on ANU’s main campus) from July 6 to 10, with a welcome reception on the evening of July 5. Before the meeting, the Harley Wood School of Astronomy will be held in the coastal town of Kioloa, NSW, from July 2 to 5. We look forward to welcoming the astronomical community of Australia and New Zealand to both the coast and the capital. 

Abstract submission and early bird registration will open at the end of January 2026.

Venue & Travel

The Annual Scientific Meeting will take place in the Research School of Physics Building on the Australian National University's main campus in Canberra, Australia. The conference dinner will be held at the National Museum of Australia, just a few minutes walk from the ANU campus.

There are flights between Canberra and several major Australian cities (e.g. Sydney and Melbourne), as well as a bus service that provides regular transport between Sydney and Canberra (~3.5 hours).
