- collapse directly into a black hole
- The maximum mass of a neutron star lies between 1.5 and 2.0 Msun.
- About the critical mass of going supernova or not I could not find anything, or calculate something by myself.
- Probably the assumption that binaries evolve like single main sequence stars is wrong and therefor the chances that a black hole will be found is smaller.
