accepted for publication in the Astrophysical Journal.
As a comet swings in from beyond Pluto, sunlight warms it up and causes molecules to
vaporise off its surface. The signals from these molecules can be converted into
sound waves by modern telescopes, giving us the chance to listen to the song of a comet.
