Science Goals - Large Scale Structure

• Accurate determination of the power spectrum of galaxy clustering on all scales up to 500Mpc direct comparison with microwave background anisotropy measurements of fluctuations on the same spatial scales nature (CDM/HDM/???) of the dark matter.
• Measurement of the redshift-space distortion of the clustering pattern , providing constraints on the cosmological density parameter and the spatial distribution of dark matter (the bias parameter, b).
• Characterisation of the clustering morphology and the statistical properties of the fluctuations is the clustering consistent with Gaussian initial fluctuations predicted by inflationary models of the early universe?
• Allow selection of a projection-free cluster sample measure dynamical masses at large radii and constrain from cluster infall patterns.
