More than Optical
One of the other components of my work on host galaxies is investigating other ways to study them. One thing I am looking at is the connection of radio loud galaxies and transient host galaxies. I am also looking into using submillimeter observations of host in a method to better estimate the amount and distribution of dust in host galaxies and to probe the older star formation poppulations. This will guide the debate on the 2 components of SNe Ia's, the prompt and delayed component.
