I am a PhD student at the Planetary Science Institute at the Australian National University, Canberra. As an astrobiologist, I am interested in the origin and early evolution of life on Earth and possibly elsewhere in the universe.
My PhD is termed 'Palaeoecophylostoichiometrics' and involves using instruments such as mass spectrometers and atomic emission spectrometers to study the elemental composition of microorganisms and their environments, to find patterns which will help us in understanding where life got started.
I love all things science and am passionate about communication of science to the general public.
