When? Thursday 26th November, the day before SEMINARS.

What is 'Dance Your PhD'? A way of interpreting your research and communicating it into movement. This may be a form of dance, something more like a mime, or anything! You can do it in groups or by yourself, to music, to random noises or to silence. Find out more at the Dance Your PhD Wiki.

A 'Dance Your PhD' competition has been run internationally by the journal Science for several years now. Check out some of the examples on YouTube. Our workshop will be run by Sam Davison, who created the show 'Copernicus' for the Melbourne Planetarium.

Why? It's fun! You can pass it off on your C.V. as 'Science Communication experience'!

Attendance is FREE for SEMINARS participants, and the workshop includes FREE lunch.

There is EXTRA TRAVEL SUPPORT available to people coming to the workshop.

There will be an opportunity to share your creations on the day of the SEMINARS, but this is optional.

Come celebrate IYA, learn some Science Communication, and much around pretending to be a colliding galaxy!
