"AWSNAP: The ANU+WiFeS SuperNovA Program"

In my final Feast of Facts at RSAA, I will summarise the outcomes of our ~3-year program to observe supernovae, which I have dubbed the ANU+WiFeS SuperNovA Program (AWSNAP). In ~80 nights of observing, we have collected 440 spectra of 232 unique targets, and have classified 67 supernovae. With the aid of a new observing database and database-driven interface to the PyWiFeS reduction package, we have reprocessed the last three years of data and will release our spectra publicly later this year. I’ll discuss some science highlights so far, and try to convince you that spectroscopy will be a critical element for the now-begun SkyMapper Supernova Survey.
