"Databases For Astronomy"

With experiments returning a vast amount of data, the ability of humans to explore that data unaided is diminishing. Computers provide a way to query large volumes of data in an efficient manner through the use of databases and Structured Query Language (SQL). However, in order to use these technologies, the data must be digital and machine understandable. This presentation will give a brief overview of standardised data formats, how to get your data ready, applications of databases, and the types of questions that databases can answer.
