The Third Stromlo Symposium

The Galactic Halo: Bright Stars & Dark Matter

Canberra, ACT, Australia, 17-21 August 1998


In honour of Professor Alex Rodgers, the 3SS focussed on the luminous populations (both stellar and gaseous and the nature of the dark matter in the halo of our Galaxy - together with the relationship between them - and with other galaxies.

The meeting was organised by Mount Stromlo and Siding Spring Observatories and was held at the Australian Academy of Science, adjacent to the Australian National University campus in Canberra, Australia, August 17-21 1998.

The Proceedings will be published as a stand-alone volume in the ASP Conference Series, the editors being Brad K. Gibson, Tim S. Axelrod & Mary E. Putman.
