ELT/GMT Information Meeting 18 May 2006

Introduction

ANU has recently joined the GMT consortium and a meeting/information session was held on the 18th May 2006 in the Duffield Lecture Theatre at Mount Stromlo Observatory to discuss Australia's involvement in ELT projects - specifically GMT. The meeting was jointly sponsored by RSAA and the ELTWG.

Sessions

The morning session was open to all who were interested. The afternoon session was devoted to debating the merits of the various ELT options that are available, and attendance was restricted to members of the Australian astronomical community.
