E2V Eng. CCDs being Operated in the Detector Lab.

Status, April 19th, 2007

The following is a complete set of pictures taken in the new AITC Detector Lab.
(Room LG1.12), yesterday (April 18th).
These pictures show the connectivity to the focal plane, a view of the CCDs,
And general views of the Detector Lab. itself, see below.

Detector Lab. - General Views.

These 4 images comprise:-

  • Image 16: the area used for SkyMapper and WiFeS, Red and
    Blue detector integration
  • Image 17: the SkyMapper Vacuum Jacket (& ARC controller) and
    the WiFeS Sun workstation
  • Image 18: area used for final DSP code testing using the old
    NIFS test dewar (in the pump room)
  • Image 19: on the Left The TEST PC, and on the Right the
    STARGRASP controller area
