Dear John,

We were so shocked to hear about the Stromlo fires! I've been trying
not to contact you for a while so that you can get on with your
recovery and rebuilding, but Paul and I both want to send you our
sympathy, now things have settled down a bit.

As you may know, the NSF has offered to allow US investigators to
apply to supplements to their grants to help with Stromlo
collaborators. This would apply to our spaghetti grant. Possibilities
are travel costs and replacement of equipment such as computers that
have been damaged. Let me know if there is anything that I can do,
either with the NSF or otherwise, that might help.
