John - Bill and I have been following the news about the horrific fires
and their devastaing effect on Stromlo.  For us with our love of Stromlo
grown from our wonderful year there, the struggle to deal with this is
huge.  So we cannot even imagine how the lives of all of you are forever
changed.  We understand that no one was injured so that is good.

First, I hope you and Robin are managing alright - whatever that means at
this point.  I know the strength and resiliency of Aussies first hand so
realize the observatory and peoples lives will continue but...  still hard
to know what to say.

Please when the time is right, tell those at Stromlo of our thoughts and
concern.  It's a pretty amazing group of people.
