Dear Peter and Brian,
I was shocked to hear the news of the fire last weekend, and to see the
pictures of telescopes and buildings destroyed. Everybody here in Utrecht
deeply sympathizes. From what I heard, nobody was hurt so I assume you
and your families are fine, and I hope your houses are still standing.
But the destruction of the workshop, instruments and telescopes is a
terrible loss. Are there plans to rebuild everything?

We might be able to help in a small way, in case your library was also
damaged. It happens that our library wants to get rid of some of their
astronomy books next week. Not sure what's there, but at least a series
of Ann Rev A&A apparently.  If it sounds like it might be useful let me
know, and I can inspect it further...
