Last night I heard about the bushfires in Canberra and was also
told that the Observatory was lost among the many homes 
destroyed.  I didn't believe it until I heard John Norris
on the radio while talking to a friend in Australia...

It is absolutely heartbreaking and my heart and sympathy goes
out to all of you who of have suffered loss.  I wish I was
there to help.  My thoughts are with you.
