Subject: Mt. Stromlo tragedy

Dear Brad, Brian, and Mike,

Last night I saw an areal shot of a burned out telescope dome on CNN and feared the worst.  The accounts in this morning's email of the complete destruction of the Mt. Stromolo observatory are just beyond belief. This is a huge loss for all of us. I sincerely hope that you and your families are safe.  Please accept my condolences.  An old friend has passed away in the prime of life.
