Dear Brian

It was awful to see the destruction at Mount Stromlo in the Canberra 
bushfires. I went there twice with Monash, in 2000 and 2001, and was 
thrilled to use the 74 inch telescope. It was a very peaceful and 
dignified place. My thoughts go out to you and all your ANU colleagues 
who worked there. And I hope your families and property are safe.
