Title:
Surface Differential Rotation as a driver of the stellar magnetic dynamo.
Project Description:
The Sun’s spots, flares, prominences and coronal mass ejections provide us with graphic demonstrations of the importance of magnetic phenomena in a stellar atmosphere. These phenomena have been observed on young solar-type stars but on a much larger scale. We continue our search for young suns so as to gain an understanding of the underlying processes that drive the stellar magnetic fields and activity cycles.
