The AAO/UKST H survey of the Galactic Plane has led to the discovery of a rich new vein
of 'planetary nebulae' (PN), ghostly gaseous relics of old stars.
Our large catalogue will impact significantly on many aspects of PN research.
High quality 2.3m PN spectroscopy across different Galactic environments gives
the chemical make-up of each nebula used to trace the Galaxy's chemical evolution through time. |
