Project Description: |
Supermassive black holes probably exist at the center of every
large galaxy in the universe. In some galaxies, gas is falling into
the black hole, and from the properties of the gas, we can measure
the mass of the black hole. This program is observing a sample of
those galaxies in order to better understand how the growth of those
black holes is connected to the characteristics of their host
galaxies. |
