Project Description: |
We are studying young stars that may be members of so called moving groups,
stars that share a common origin but were scattered in space since their birth. Some of these are
surrounded by dusty disks in which planets form, reproducing the earliest stages of the Solar
System. Using the 2.3m ANU telescope we derive ages of the systems, leading to a better
understanding of the physical processes of planet formation. |
