Project Description: |
We are conducting a survey of nearby Luminous Infrared Galaxies (LIRGs). Their name comes from the intense radiation from strong star formation and the supermassive black holes of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) absorbed by enormous amounts of dust and re-radiated in the IR. We will investigate these complex systems to learn more about recent galaxy evolution and evolution in the early Universe. |
