Title: |
Stellar winds in the microquasar LS 5039 to fit ultraprecise MOST space photomet |
|
Project Description: |
Black holes are invisible but they can be studied by studying their environment.
We are looking at the stellar-wind environment of a supergiant star orbited by a black hole. The MOST
Canadian space telescope will be observing our black hole binary at the same time as the 2.3m telescope.
Together the two resulting datasets will reveal how black holes interact with stellar wind from a very nearby star. |
