Project Description: |
Variable stars known as RR Lyrae stars are excellent tracers of the
Galactic halo. They are intrinsically luminous, so can be found at large
distances, and with variability up to 1 mag or more over periods of 0.6
days, they are relatively easy to discover. This 1m program aims to confirm
the classification of previously identified RR Lyrae candidates. |
