MWA Meeting

Canberra has a wide range of accommodation ranging from backpacker to 5-star hotels. Bookings should not be made at the last minute as Canberra Hotels can fill up. A complete list is at the Canberra Tourism Site.

We will reserve rooms at two places on/near the ANU main campus at a discounted rate. This is a 15 minute drive from Mount Stromlo.

There will be wireless access (gratis) at RSAA, but these hotels below do have internet access at a cost.

• Rydges Lakeside Canberra ($130/night) We put people here because the Uni House filled up and had no rooms left. Rydges is just off the ANU campus and a little closer to the "downtown." It is also only a block+- from Diamant, where the-other-half of the conference attenders are staying. There is internet at a cost.

• Diamant($170/night) A nice trendy hotel, about 3 minute walk away from the ANU. Many would consider the extra money well worth it. Has ethernet in your room for $7/hr, or $35 for your entire stay. Wireless access is free in the bar area.

So that we can reserve the rooms, please register your choices in our doodle ASAP. We will contact you before reserving your room. Once we reserve them, there will be a cancellation fee.

You will also be asked about whether or not you are planning to hire a car so that we can ensure we have enough transportation to Mt Stromlo.
