The semi-annual big MWA meeting will be held in Canberra, Australia from the 19th-23rd of January 2009, at Mount Stromlo Observatory. The meeting will include a meeting of the MWA Board, as well as a significant scientific and technical themes. Everyone is encouraged to make their travel arrangements as soon as possible, as January is a busy time for Australian Travellers. PLEASE - at your first possible instance - register your attendance, and accommodation requirements on our Meeting doodle. First click on Accommodation, and see the options. January is summer in Canberra. You can expect warm to hot days (22-33C/72-91F), with relatively cool nights(9-16C/48-61F). Rain, typically in the form of thunderstorms, happens on average 7 times per month.
