- Doesn’t perform tiling of fields however!
Usually try and get 5% (20) of fibres allocated to sky
- Added requirement is that fibres are equally distributed between spectrographs and along each spectrograph slit.
Field change-over < 3minutes, total cycle time 70 minutes /field.
Instrument setup (spectrographs etc) done by day staff, first two fields of night setup during the afternoon.
